Course Details
Methodology
a) Online study along with printed study material for 6 months.
b) Practical training with logbook for one month at Emergency Dept. in a hospital located near to you and approved by Medvarsity.
Eligibility : MBBS Doctors registered with Medical Council of India.
Duration : 6 months (including practical training)
Course Content : The course deals with important emergencies in the following areas:
a) Organization of Emergency Medicine Dept., Disaster preparedness and management.
b) Management of Cardiac, Respiratory,Neurologic emergencies
c) Dealing with Surgical, Obstetrical, ENT and Paediatrics emergencies.
d) Management of shock burns.
e) Management of environmental emergencies.
f) Anesthesia and mechanical ventilation.
Course delivery
• Every registrant will be given user ID and password to access content on web ( www.medvarsity.com ).
• Course content and additional material will be supplied on CDROM and in print.
• Relevant and recent articles from journals will be sent weekly by email.
• Periodic email testing will be done to sharpen skills.
• Online discussion forum, chat sessions, email for queries and doubts.
• Logbook to be maintained by all students.
Evaluation and Certification
Candidate is required to complete internal examinations and submit the logbook completed during practical training period. Final examination will be conducted online at the end of six months. Successful candidates will be awarded Certificate by AHERF and Medvarsity.
It is mandatory to obtain a minimum of 50% marks to clear an evaluation.
Course fee : Rs. 30,000 in single installment or 2 equal installments of Rs. 16,000 each. Payable in favour of Medvarsity online limited.
