This course is designed to provide students with the necessary knowledge; skills and competencies to
organize, manage and deliver an Orthopedic Rehabilitation programme within a Hospital and Community setting. This unique programme prepares you to work specifically in the area of orthopedic injuries and as well as primary prevention of Metabolic and joint diseases specifically in late stage rehabilitation.

Students will be equipped with knowledge of aspects of orthopedic diseases and surgical techniques, be exposed to the multi-disciplinary nature of effective orthopedic rehabilitation services and have the opportunity for experiential learning from a model team who are involved directly in both hospital and community-based orthopedic rehabilitation settings.

 

TRAINING TARGETS
On completion of the course, students will be able to
•   Demonstrate critical appreciation of the interrelationships between professionals involved in the orthopedic rehabilitation      process.
•   Negotiate and communicate with medical professionals regarding orthopedic patients to ensure a quality orthopedic     rehabilitation plan for patients.
•   Appraise the safety procedures required to run safe and effective orthopedic rehabilitation courses/training in the     community.

COURSE DETAILS

Eligibility
•   MBBS Graduates & General Practitioners (Including BHMS,BAMS, BUMS).
•  Physiotherapists /Physiotherapy Interns.

Duration & Contact Program

•   Six Months Correspondence / Online Study.
•  10 days Contact Program conducted in association with Dept. of orthopedics, Apollo Hospitals and faculty of Apollo college     of physiotherapy at Apollo Hospitals,Hyderabad*.

10. Rehabilitation of Metabolic Diseases
11. Rehabilitation of Bone Neoplasms
12. Rehabilitation of Patient with Back Pain
13. Rehabilitation of Patient With Amputation
14. Total Hip Replacement and Rehabilitation
15. Total Knee Replacement and Rehabilitation
16. Geriatric Rehabilitation
17. Aspects of Counseling
