That happens to be pain. In fact pain is being considered as the fifth vital sign along with pulse, blood pressure, temperature and respiration. Pain management has evolved to be one of the top sub specialities over the last 15 to 20 years. Through out the world, several fellowship and training programs are running successfully.

Course Content
The course deals with the following topics extensively
• An outline of pain management and establishing pain clinics.
• Understanding basics of pain, its origin and control
• Chonic benign pain syndromes (headache, backache, fibrormyalgia, neuralgia, entrapment neuropathies, trigger points and others) evaluation and management.
. Imaging modalities and their application in pain management.
• Special section on cancer pain and palliative care.
• Interventional pain management (fluoroscopy or CT assisted procedures like Epidural adhesiolysis, Facet joint denervation, stellate ganglion block, coeliac plexus block, Trigeminal ganglion block and a host of others).
• Recent advances in pain management (Radio frequency ablation, Cryoanalgesia, Epiduroscopy, Spinal cord stimulation, Intrathecal opiods and others).
• An extensive discussion on alternative medicine like acupuncture, yoga, hypnosis, and behavioral therapy.
• Preventive aspects of pain management physiotherapy, physical exercises, life style modification, and positive thinking.
Course Delivery and Certification
The course material will be available both online and offline. An ID and password is provided to access the course content and online assessments. Additional value added features like e-mail articles, journal articles, periodic e-mail assessments are also provided during the course.
The registrant shall complete all the internal assessments online before joining the contact program. The final examination will be held on completion of the online study and the contact program.
