Top 3 Myth Busters for PG-NEET

Myths are made up conceptions that we generally hear or read around, even when it comes to examinations such as PG NEET. These could be plots of business-makers trying to make a profit or someone’s personal opinion that has probably been going around for a while.

Here are top 3 myths that you need to break free from this examination season:

Myth 1:

Mock tests are a waste of time – People generally think mock tests and practicing MCQs might be a waste of time.

Fact: In fact it is the opposite, putting what you have learnt into practice is a good way to see where you stand. It is a great way to practice, but be sure to not draw any conclusions.

Myth 2:

Prepping from other tests – The candidates are always confused whether to refer to other tests or not while preparing and many feel it is a waste of time.

Fact: It has been seen that a good amount questions are from other tests such as AIIMS, PGI, JIPMER, FMGE and more. Not only that but there is a decent percentage from regional tests as well. So it will be beneficial if you can spend some time looking through other tests.

Myth 3:

Examination format – A lot of candidates are mostly worried about examination paper format changing over time.

Fact: There might be many sources spreading wrong information regarding the change in format. You do not need to worry since the difficulty level, pattern and question types generally do not change. Carry on with your usual preparations.

Some more things to keep in mind are to make sure to read the explanations carefully, you might find part of your answers in there itself. Also, going through the old test papers will be of great help, as they do repeat questions quite a bit.
