Success Stories at Medvarsity #1 – Dr Tarachand
Being an MBBS graduate from Ajmer:
I am an MBBS from Ajmer Rajasthan and graduated from the J.L.N.Medical college, 1989-95 batch. After my graduation, as a part of my parents wish, I decided to practice back at my hometown, which is what I did till the October of 2008 and due to which I did not further pursue post-graduation at that point of time.
Gathering Clinical Experience:
I then moved on to join the Mittal Hospital and Research center, Ajmer, which is an NABH accredited multi-specialty hospital. Through the course of which, I worked in super specialty department CTVS, Endocrinology, Cardiac, Gastroenterology and Neurosurgery and also gained 2 years of experience in the blood bank. However, over time, I was not satisfied with my career advancement and realized I lacked post-graduation, diplomas or certifications in certain skills that were coming in the way of my career growth.
My journey with Medvarsity:
It was then a colleague told me about Medvarsity and while I was working at another hospital in Ajmer, I started pursuing a Fellowship Course at Medvarsity simultaneously. I had consecutively enrolled for Fellowship in Diabetes, Intensive Care Medicine, Preventive Cardiology and Certificate in Trauma Management. The unique approach and updated knowledge of the courses at Medvarsity were what attracted me to it in the first place. The courses not only completed my knowledge, but also improved the existing one, which now clearly reflects in my personality and work.
Making my mark as a Clinician:
I now made a mark as a clinician, which led my seniors to recommend me to the higher management, that eventually got me promoted to the Head of Critical Care Department in Kshetrapal Multispecialty Hospital and Research Center, Ajmer, Rajasthan. This was nothing but a dream come true for me and I would like to thank Medvarsity for it, as it wouldn’t have been possible without it.
