Course Description

Practical Diabetes Management Course is designed to update the general practitioner with the essential knowledge needed in the practical management of diabetes. Our expert faculty will train the student on the current trends and impart practical guidance on providing quality care for patients with diabetes. This is done through live virtual classes (webinars) provided in addition to online learning. The student can attend these sessions from home or workplace. The faculty will discuss real life cases, current management guidelines and the students have the opportunity to clarify their doubts with the faculty.

Eligibility:

Physicians (MBBS with valid MCI registration) + students who have completed session 1 of the course

On completion of Session-2, the student will be awarded the Advanced Certificate in Diabetes Mellitus. This course is certified by Royal Liverpool Academy and Medvarsity. The Royal Liverpool Academy is the academic center of the Royal Liverpool & Broadgreen University Hospitals, NHS Trust.

Course Validity: 4 months. There will be an extra charge on the extension of the course validity.

The Certificate course in Diabetes Mellitus is designed to provide fundamental knowledge of diabetes within a short time of 3 months. The course will introduce the students to the basic concepts of diabetes, including the definition and classification of diabetes. Fellowship in Diabetes Mellitus

This session of the course will impart knowledge on managing the complications and special populations. Apart from online learning modules, there will be live virtual classes and one month of practical training through clinical postings.  Diabetes specialists at accredited hospitals and clinics will deliver the practical training. Students will have the opportunity to observe and learn from real life cases.

    • Medical Council of India does not recognize courses that are offered through online or blended learning platform.
  • Can I call myself a Diabetologist/ Diabetes specialist after completing this course?
    • No. The aim of this course is to be a form of continuing professional development that will increase your clinical knowledge on diabetes and make you better primary care providers. It is not a replacement to formal medical education and specialization.

4. Assessments
  • How will the assessments be for the Level 2 course?
    • All assessments in Level 2 will be online test based. Your knowledge and understanding of different chapters will be tested through online questions at different stages of the course. You will also be given a final online exam, successful completion of which will make you eligible for the certification.
  • Will the final online test be given on a scheduled date?
    • The final online test will be unlocked as soon as you complete all the lessons and pass all previous knowledge check tests. You need not wait for any scheduled date for the exam.
  • How many attempts do I have for the final exam?
    • One attempt
  • What if I am not able to clear the module tests in the first attempt?
    • If you are not able to clear the module test in the first attempt, you can always take a second attempt to clear your module tests.You have to pay Re-exam fee, for details Contact Toll free (1800-103-6006) or write to us at [email protected]
  • What if I feel that a question is wrongly framed or an answer is wrongly marked in the online exams?
