Course Description

Session-2 of the course covers the importance of nutrition across the human life cycle starting with pregnancy, then progressing to infancy, childhood, adolescence, adulthood and the elderly. Each life stage is discussed with an understanding of the physiological changes and nutritional implications for each stage.

The module on weight management will help the student understand the multifaceted nature of weight problems and strategies needed to assist clients with building positive nutritional habits, diet planning, and weight loss. Students will also gain fundamental knowledge of the specialized area of sports nutrition.

Eligibility: 

Graduates from any discipline (MBBS, Dental, AYUSH, Nursing, Dietetics) with valid recognition + students who completed Session 1

On completion of Session-2, the student will be awarded the Certificate in Lifecycle and Wellness Nutrition. This course is certified by Medvarsity and AHERF.

Course validity: 4 months.There will be an extra charge on the extension of the course validity.

Certificate Course in Basic Nutrition

Session 1 is the introductory course that will provide you an overview of nutrition and nutrients. You will understand the chemistry of macronutrients (carbohydrates, fats, and protein) and micronutrients (vitamins and minerals), their absorption, storage, and metabolism, role in health and disease.

Certificate in Lifecycle and Wellness Nutrition

Session -2 course covers the importance of nutrition across the human life cycle starting with pregnancy, then progressing to infancy, childhood, adolescence, adulthood and the elderly. Each life stage is discussed with an understanding of the physiological changes and nutritional implications for each stage.

Certificate Course in Clinical Nutrition

Session-3 of the course covers clinical nutrition topics, and you will learn how diet and nutrition impacts the health of individuals. This course will provide you detailed scientific understanding about nutritional screening and assessment methods and strategies for improving patient care. You will learn how to perform nutritional assessments in various disease conditions. It will also enable you with knowledge on the best practices of managing nutrition support therapy in different patient conditions.

    • This is Level 2 of a series of three courses that add up to provide a deep understanding of Nutrition and Dietetics.

2. Eligibility for the course

3. Course delivery
  • How to access the course material online?
    • After your enrolment is confirmed, you will be given login credentials to the Medvarsity Learning Portal.

  • What if I am unable to open the Medvarsity website?

4. Assessments
  • How will the assessments be for the Level 2 course?
    • All assessments in Level 2 will be online test based. Your knowledge and understanding of different chapters will be tested through online quizzes at different stages of the course. Successful completion of all online assessments will make you eligible for the certification.
  • What if I am not able to clear the final test in each level in the first attempt?
    • You will be given three attempts to clear the tests. If you are not able to clear the final test for the Level in three attempts, you will have to pay re-activation fees. Contact Toll free (1800-103-6006) or write to us at [email protected]
  • What if I feel that a question is wrongly framed or an answer is wrongly marked in the online exams?

  • What certification will I get at the end of the course?
    • You will receive a “Advanced Certificate in Nutrition and Dietetics” after successful completion of this course.
  • When will I get my certificate?
    • Once you successfully pass each Level, PDF of your E-Certificate will be auto-generated in the Learning management system.

She is a Registered Dietitian and Nutrition Faculty at Medvarsity. She is also a Member of Indian Dietetic Association, Member of Indian Society of Enteral and Parenteral Nutrition, Member of Nutrition Society of India. She has been associated with Apollo Hospital since 13 years. She is the Stroke Nutrition Coordinator for Apollo Hospitals, Hyderabad. She was the Organizing Secretary for the 6th Apollo International Clinical Nutrition Conference 2013 at Apollo Health City Hyderabad.
