Course Description

Every year about 5 million patients are admitted to intensive care units (ICU) in India. The country needs 50,000 intensive care professionals who are trained in that specialized department to provide accurate therapy for the patients. A mechanical ventilator is a most often required equipment in the ICU and emergency department, which provides respiratory support to ill patients. Mobilization of critically ill patients on a mechanical ventilator is an advanced skilled process. It is especially important that every health care professional working for ICU have a grip on mechanical ventilators to follow appropriate and safe practice. Comprehensive knowledge and skills in mechanical ventilation plays a significant role in the clinical decision-making process and the therapy of ill patients.

The elearning course in mechanical ventilation will introduce you to the different modes of ventilation. You will learn the key skills required for setting up a mechanical ventilator. This course will cover the physiology and operational aspects of mechanical ventilator.   • What if I am not able to clear the final test in each level in the first attempt?
