Course Description
The Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is a web-based course for healthcare providers who respond to, or treat infant or child-related emergencies. The course modules contain reading materials and videos on various pediatric emergencies and covers systematic approach to assessment, basic life support, and management using various PALS algorithms. The objective of this course is to enable the student to provide better quality of care to seriously ill or injured children leading to better outcomes.
Managing emergencies in children is very different from that in adults, so it is crucial for all healthcare professionals managing children to take this course to understand these differences. Many hospitals mandate completion of PALS course for physicians, nurses, and paramedics. Certification is also recommended for emergency responders, people working in emergency department, and intensive care.
This course is structured based on the guidelines of the American Heart Association. All the course materials, videos and manuals are based on international standards and industry best practices. This course is certified by Medvarsity.
