Course Description
The Certificate in Emergency Ultrasound revolves around helping you become an expert at Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS). POCUS has been widely used in many disciplines as a rapid diagnostic tool, especially in emergency medicine. The ease of use, non-invasive, non-ionizing nature, and accessibility have made it a potential option in situations where other imaging investigations may not be readily available.
POCUS can be applied in many scenarios, including dyspnea, peripheral edema, airway compromise, appendicitis, abdominal aortic aneurysm, joint-pain, and many more. At the same time, diagnostic ultrasound devices have become increasingly powerful, portable, and affordable. The certificate in Emergency Ultrasound course will allow you to strategically incorporate these benefits into your clinical practice – whether you own a practice, work in a hospital, and are placed in a remote location.
This self-paced course allows you to upskill while managing your clinical responsibilities. This course is an essential first step for achieving your Fellowship in Emergency Ultrasound.
The Medvarsity Learning Design framework (Certificate, Advanced Certificate, and Fellowship) is based on Kirkpatrick’s model of e-learning and allows the systematic consumption and application of the content.
