Course Description
Critical care specialists form a crucial part of any department due to their expertise in dealing with complex clinical problems representing the extremes of diseases. Due to the acute shortage of intensive care units (ICUs), critical care medicine has established itself as a standalone super specialty. It is the most technologically advanced and resource-intensive area of medical care.
Thus, there is a strong demand for trained specialists who can manage sophisticated equipment and are readily available to manage critical patients.
During the course, you will become familiar with the ICU setup, quality and safety needs, general principles of critical care, and management of specific critical illnesses.
Apart from online content, there are live virtual classes (webinars) by experts throughout the course to allow you to interact with the faculty.
Learning complex medical concepts in the traditional didactic textbook and lecture format can be alienating for students. It prevents the opportunity to apply this knowledge clinically.
Fellowship in Critical Care Medicine – Level I incorporates a Case-Based Learning Approach within the Medvarsity Learning Framework to address this gap in medical education. With this unique methodology, students consume relevant medical content while learning concepts through interactive case studies spread throughout the course. Thus, students are provided with relevant specialty-specific cases and a clear structure for precise diagnosis and customized treatment plans on a case-to-case basis.
This course is certified by Medvarsity and Critical Care Education Foundation (CCEF).
We at Medvarsity strive to equip every physician with the ability to fast-track their career and enable them to better serve the communities in which they practice. Join us, and let us impact healthcare through education.
