Course Description

This session of the course will impart knowledge on managing the complications and special populations. Apart from online learning modules, there will be live virtual classes and one month of practical training through clinical postings.  Diabetes specialists at accredited hospitals and clinics will deliver the practical training. Students will have the opportunity to observe and learn from real life cases.

Eligibility:

MBBS Doctors only (with valid medical council registration) and must have completed the Session 2 of the course.

On completion of Session-3 and passing the final Viva, the student will be awarded the Fellowship in Diabetes Mellitus. This course is certified by Royal Liverpool Academy, Medvarsity and Apollo Hospitals Educational and Research Foundation. The Royal Liverpool Academy is the symbol and the academic centre of the organisation which is a pre-eminent University teaching hospital (Royal Liverpool & Broadgreen University Hospitals, NHS Trust).

Certificate in Diabetes Mellitus

The Certificate course in Diabetes Mellitus is designed to provide fundamental knowledge of diabetes within a short time of 3 months. The course will introduce the students to the basic concepts of diabetes, including the definition and classification of diabetes. In addition, students will also learn about the clinical features of diabetes, screening and diagnosis, and the basics of diabetes management including an overview of diabetes education, exercise, and pharmacological agents. The course is updated with the latest figures given by the International Diabetes Federation.

Diploma in Diabetes Mellitus

Practical Diabetes Management Course is designed to update the general practitioner with the essential knowledge needed in the practical management of diabetes.   • What is the eligibility for the Level 3 of the course?
    • The eligibility for level 3 course is MBBS with valid MCI registration and successful completion of Level 2 of the DM course.

4. Assessments
  • How will the assessments be for the Level 3 course?
    • There will be online assessments and one Viva-Voce exam in Level 3.
      Your knowledge and understanding of different chapters will be tested through online questions at different stages while you take the online component of the course. You will also be given a final online exam, successful completion of which will make you eligible to take the Viva Voce examination. Passing the Viva-Voce is essential to finish this level and get the Fellowship certification.
  • Will the final online test be given on a scheduled date?
    • The final online test will be unlocked as soon as you complete all the lessons and pass all previous knowledge check tests. You need not wait for any scheduled date for the exam.
      The Final Viva-Voice examination will be conducted on scheduled dates across different locations.
  • How many attempts do I have for the final exam?
    • You get one attempt to clear the final online test. If you are not able to clear the final test in the first attempt, you can always take a repeat.You have to pay Re-exam fee, for details Contact Toll free (1800-103-6006) or write to us at support@medvarsity.com.
      If you do not clear the Viva-Voce, you will have to wait for the next scheduled date to appear for the test.
  • What if I am not able to clear the module tests in the first attempt?
    • If you feel that something is wrongly mentioned, you can write at support@medvarsity.com,directing it to the academics team.
5. Certificate
  • What certification will I get at the end of the course?
    • You will receive a “Fellowship in Diabetes Mellitus” after successfully clearing the final Viva Voce.
  • When will I get my certificate?
    • Once you successfully pass your final exam, your E-Certificate will be mailed to your registered E-Mail ID.

  • Do you provide any placement assistance?

He is also the RCP College Tutor at Royal Liverpool University Hospital and Co-founder of Medexcell Education, which runs regular courses on Leadership Skill, Teaching Skills and Critical Appraisal of medical literature promoting Evidence Based Medicine.
