Course Description
Obstetrics and Gynecologists provide comprehensive care for women, from the time she gets her first period all the way to post-menopause. These may be addressing the myriad of conditions seen among women, from the management of abnormal bleeding, genital infections, neoplasms, and other uniquely female life-cycle medical concerns, to delivering neonates and managing any periportal condition that may arise. Though the number of specialists in this field has grown significantly, optimal women’s healthcare is still unmet in many hospitals and institutions.
To close this gap, more physicians from other disciplines would need to step in and address the complexities of women’s health issues and become leaders of multidisciplinary clinics or programs encompassing the broad scope of women’s health. Unfortunately, the knowledge and skills of many of these physicians are insufficient, as their exposure to women’s health in medical school or residency is inadequate.
This course also caters to practitioners who would like to provide better care to female patients in their respective fields.
The Gynecology Course is a blended learning program that consists of video lectures, reading material with integrated assignments, and live virtual classes with eminent OBGYN faculty that give you a clinical perspective to theory and consequently improve the clinical outcomes of your patients.
Learning complex medical concepts in the traditional didactic textbook and lecture format can be alienating for students. It prevents the opportunity to apply this knowledge clinically.
Fellowship in Gynecology and Obstetrics – Level I incorporates a Case-Based Learning Approach within the Medvarsity Learning Framework to address this gap in medical education. With this unique methodology, students consume relevant medical content while learning concepts through interactive case studies spread throughout the course. Thus, students are provided with relevant specialty-specific cases and a clear structure for precise diagnosis and customized treatment plans on a case-to-case basis.
We at Medvarsity strive to equip every physician with the ability to fast-track their career and enable them to better serve the communities in which they practice. Join us, and let us impact healthcare through education.
