Course Description

Healthcare providers hold a huge responsibility towards patient safety to ensure that medical interventions do not become detrimental. Thus, healthcare focus is increasingly shifting from quantity to quality.

Providing quality healthcare requires skilled, competent and motivated professionals with focus on patient outcomes, increasing efficiencies and reducing costs. Building such skilled professionals requires effective training.

Medvarsity and International Society for Quality in Health Care (ISQua), have together created a flexible, online education program on healthcare quality. This Masterclass in Healthcare Quality program includes three different program tracks leading to specialist certification, in healthcare quality, patient safety and medication safety. It’s designed to help healthcare professionals improve health and patient safety outcomes. Faculty are expert level instructors with real-world industry experience.

  • Involving regulative authority and pharmaceutical industry for medication safety
  • Risk factors for adverse drug events
  • Effective approaches for dosage calculation
  • Prescribing and dispensing errors

Course Outline

Course Validity

• 7 months. There will be an extra charge on the extension of the course validity.

Eligibility

• Any graduate
• Doctors, nurses, pharmacists, pharmacy managers, quality officers, patient safety officers, quality and safety managers, administrators, improvement advisors/consultants and quality specialists whose prime focus includes improving healthcare quality will benefit from this course.

Assessments

• Online reflective learning assessments. The learner is tasked with applying the learning to one or more case studies or situations.

Certification

• On completion of all course modules and assessments, successful candidates will receive a Master Class in Healthcare Quality, jointly from Medvarsity and ISQua.
