  • What is a Live Virtual Class?
    • A live virtual class is an online learning medium. Just like in a real-world classroom, a live virtual class brings your faculty live to right where you are.
  • What are the advantages of attending a live virtual class?
    • You get to learn in depth about your session topics from your faculty. You will gain subject knowledge, get latest updates on current topic and get your doubts in the topic clarified live by the faculty. You gain subject matter expertise.
    • You can view the power point presentations, participate in polls to test your subject knowledge, post your queries and get your doubts clarified live by the faculty just like in a real-world class room. You can also download the handouts with useful articles. You can also get connected with your fellow students through the chat box.
  • How can I access the class?
    • You can register yourself for the lecture through the link sent in the email invite for the lecture webinar and attend the lecture session.
  • What if I miss a class?
    • You can view the recorded video session of the lecture on BigMarker after 24 hours from the actual live session for the next 30 days using the registration link.
  • Will I receive the presentation which was in the class?
    • The PPT's used in the lecture session will be available on our website in the LMS under respective sessions. These are subject to the willingness of the faculty so all the presentations may not be shared on the LMS.
  • Where can I ask my queries & questions during the class?
    • You can post your questions related to the topic in the lecture in the Q&A section.

  • What do I need to have to attend the lecture session?
    • You need to register for the session
    • You need at least an 8Mbps internet connectivity

5. Assessment and Exams
  • Do I have to pay any Additional Exam Fee?
    • Yes, you have to pay an Exam Fee of INR 100 per Subject. For International Students the Exam Fee is 5 USD per Subject.
  • Are there any assignments included in the Semesters?
    • Yes, there are three assignments included. Each student is required to submit assignments by due date to complete the process of continuous evaluation that carry a 30% weightage towards overall assessment. Assignment submission facility is available online and similarly the evaluation done through online process.
      Submission of assignments is mandatory for appearing in End Semester Examination.
  • Are all assignments choice based?
    • The first two assignments are completely choice based questions, while the third assignment has subjective questions and case studies.
  • Is the End Semester also online?
    • The examination would be conducted online through Amity test engine. Written Examinations carry the weightage of 70% in overall assessment. The End Semester will have choice based and subjective questions.
  • Can I take the exam from my home?
  • Our Online Exams are in two modes:
    • Centre Based Mode- Conducted almost all prominent locations in country.
    • Proctored Mode-Student can take the exam from any part of world (home, office, computer cafe) according to his/her convenience (Latest System Configuration with webcam & good Internet connectivity)
  • Are the scheduled dates for the exams mandatory or not?
    • Since End Term Examinations of Amity University A/C Distance Learning is held twice in a year there will be no supplementary examination for Distance Learning students.
      However, students intending to appear again or missing a chance can do so in the following End Term Examination in the term as applicable from time to time, within the maximum duration laid down for that programme.
  • What is the Awarding criteria?
    • To qualify in a semester a student has to obtain minimum 5.0 Semester Grade Point Average (SGPA) and to qualify in the programme, a student has to obtain minimum 6.0 Cumulative Grade Points Average (CGPA).
  • What if I am not able to take a semester?
    • If student remain absent or fails to clear the subject, he/ she has to re appear/attempt the examination along with subsequent semester exams in June and December along with applicable fee. The academic norms and standards will follow the Academic Council Guidelines (ADDOE) of Amity University.
6. Certificate
  • Will I be provided a Degree Certificate by Amity University?
    • Yes, Degree will be awarded by Amity University to all students successfully completing the programme.
