Immerse yourself in the world of Ophthalmology with our dynamic rotation situated in the heart of Washington, DC, within a private practice environment. Under the guidance of our esteemed preceptor, who holds positions at Howard University Hospital and Washington Hospital Center, you'll receive unparalleled mentorship and instruction.

Throughout this 4-week outpatient clinic experience affiliated with MedStar Hospital Center, participants will engage in various aspects of ophthalmic care, from patient interviews to assisting with eye examinations and observing advanced diagnostic procedures. With a weekly commitment of 36-40 hours, Monday through Friday, this rotation offers a comprehensive immersion into the field.

Led by Dr Barnes, our medical director and physician, this rotation provides a unique opportunity to gain practical skills and familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems. Dr Barnes's expertise and dedication ensure that participants receive thorough training and guidance, preparing them for success in the field of Ophthalmology.
