Embark on an enlightening journey with the Avoiding Term Admissions into Neonatal Units (ATAIN) e-learning programme, meticulously designed for midwives and healthcare professionals. This programme focuses on elevating neonatal care and ensuring safer deliveries, thereby reducing the instances of term infants being admitted to neonatal units. We unfold the essence of ATAIN, blending cutting-edge medical knowledge with proactive healthcare strategies to revolutionise neonatal care.

The ATAIN course focuses on four crucial clinical domains: Respiratory Conditions, Hypoglycaemia, Jaundice, and Asphyxia (Perinatal Hypoxia-ischaemia). By concentrating on these areas, healthcare professionals gain the necessary expertise to address prevalent neonatal challenges effectively. Additionally, the programme highlights the essential significance of mother–baby bonding, dedicating a session to raise awareness about maintaining their connection post-delivery. This emphasis ensures that participants grasp not only medical interventions but also the profound influence of emotional and physical connections in neonatal care.

Upon successful mastery of the course content, participants will be recognised for their commitment and proficiency with a certificate of completion from eIntegrity, a testament to their dedication to improving neonatal care. This acknowledgement, backed by the prestigious collaboration of NHS England e-learning for healthcare, NHS Improvement, and the UK ATAIN programme team, represents a significant achievement in the field of neonatal care and is a valuable addition to any healthcare professional’s credentials.

  • Focuses on key neonatal issues, respiratory conditions, hypoglycaemia, jaundice, and asphyxia
  • Includes a session on maintaining the mother-baby bond post-delivery
  • Developed by NHS England e-learning for healthcare, NHS Improvement, and the UK ATAIN programme team
  • Completion awards a prestigious certificate
