Course Description

In clinical practice, the imprecise measurement and management of hypertension by Physicians and AYUSH practitioners have been attributed to numerous factors. Namely, the lack of training, poor adherence to recommendations, improper patient preparation, and inaccurate equipment to measure with. This has led to calls to regularize the training for all healthcare professionals frequently interacting with patients with a suspicion of high blood pressure.

The “Certificate in Basics of Hypertension” is a “level up” program aimed at AYUSH practitioners who are increasingly interacting with individuals with underlying high blood pressure. The blended learning design of the course consists of multiple case presentations, lectures, and interactive elements that give you a clinical perspective to theory and consequently improve the clinical outcomes of your patients.

The course covers core competencies, namely:

  • Diagnostic screening & drug selection
  • Nonpharmacological Interventions for Reducing Blood Pressure
  • ACC/AHA/ESH/ESC based Guidelines
  • Potentially dangerous forms of hypertension – Resistant hypertension, secondary hypertension & hypertensive crises
  • Specific therapy in certain patient populations

Optimizing the prevention, recognition, and care of hypertension requires a paradigm shift of the AYUSH practices using scientific strategies known to control BP.

We at Medvarsity strive to equip every physician with the ability to fast-track their career and enable them to better serve the communities in which they practice.

Come, join us and let us impact healthcare through education.

Eligibility: Physicians (MBBS, AYUSH), Final year medical graduates, and interns (MBBS and AYUSH)

Course Validity: 4 months. There will be an extra charge for the extension of the course validity.
