We're immensely proud of the comprehensive Neurology program we offer, spearheaded by the esteemed Dr Peter Bernad. Participants actively engage with an average of 3 to 5 patients daily, gaining invaluable hands-on experience. Observers are strongly encouraged to join in patient interviews, followed by in-depth discussions analyzing both neurological and psychiatric aspects of cases, along with exploring doctor–patient relationship dynamics.

Our curriculum extends far beyond direct patient interactions, embracing a diverse range of learning modalities. It includes dynamic informal lectures, captivating guest speakers, interactive medical conference rounds, and insightful video presentations. Each morning, participants are tasked with delivering presentations on assigned topics, fostering a dynamic and collaborative learning environment. Moreover, participants have the opportunity to showcase their depth of knowledge by presenting a formal case during the rotation, further enhancing their clinical skills and significantly broadening their expertise.

The course consists of 4-week rotations divided between Washington, DC, Alexandria, VA, and Woodbridge, VA. Preceptors are affiliated with renowned institutions such as George Washington University Hospital, Inova Fairfax Hospital, Inova Mount Vernon Hospital, Sentara Hospital, and Bridge Point Hospital. Additionally, participants will gain exposure to sleep medicine and pain management, as well as observe a variety of diagnostic tests including EEG, EMG, NCV, Sudo Scans, Doppler Ultrasounds, and Polysomnograms. The program runs for 40 hours weekly, from Monday to Friday.

  • Participants can acquire practical experience in neurology through daily interactions with 3 to 5 patients
