Case Description

This webinar explores the role of advanced neuroimaging in the diagnosis, characterization, and management of brain tumors. It highlights key imaging features that help differentiate tumor types, assess tumor location, and evaluate their relationship with critical brain structures. The session will...

Case Summary

  • Patients with central nervous system neoplasms typically present with seizures, progressive headaches, focal neurological deficits, or manifestations of elevated intracranial pressure. Initial evaluation requires a comprehensive neurological examination followed immediately by multimodal neuroimaging. While conventional magnetic resonance imaging with T1, T2, FLAIR, and contrast enhancement forms the baseline to define anatomical margins, mass effect, and necrosis, it cannot reliably differentiate high-grade malignancy from mimics such as demyelination, abscess, or radiation necrosis.
