With extensive qualifications including M.B.B.S., D.T.C.D., D.N.B., and a Postgraduate Certification in Diabetology, he holds academic positions as a Professor at ACS Medical College and Hospital and has held progressive roles at Sri Muthukumaran Medical College. Dr. Balamurugan is also a visiting consultant at leading hospitals in Chennai and the founder of an Institutional Ethics Committee, where he developed SOPs and ensured DCGI registration.
