Case Description
This webinar will explore the evolving role of Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) from advanced diagnostic imaging to minimally invasive therapeutic intervention. The session will cover its role in evaluating pancreaticobiliary, gastrointestinal, and mediastinal diseases, including tissue acquisition and...
Case Summary
- Endoscopic ultrasound has evolved from a purely diagnostic modality into an advanced interventional platform that bridges high-resolution acoustic imaging with minimally invasive therapeutic procedures. Diagnostic capability centers around radial instruments, which provide a panoramic circumferential view, and linear instruments, which enable real-time needle guidance parallel to the ultrasound beam. Clinically, it serves as a frontline modality for evaluating solid and cystic pancreaticobiliary lesions, subepithelial gastrointestinal tumors, mediastinal lymphadenopathy, and unexplained biliary obstruction.
