He is the Founder of Dr. Huilgol’s Kidney Care, where he pioneered nephrology and dialysis services in Bagalkot—making specialized renal care accessible in a semi-urban region. As a Partner and Consultant Nephrologist at Patil Medicare Multispecialty Hospital, he played a pivotal role in establishing a Level-2 ICU, training critical care staff, and securing NABH entry-level accreditation—the first SHCO to do so in the district. His academic journey includes a Nephrology Master’s from the University of Sheffield, UK, and subspecialty training under the National Board of Examinations at Narayana Health, Bangalore, where he was also actively involved in renal transplants and dialysis care.
Beyond clinical medicine, Dr. Huilgol is passionate about healthcare education and digital learning. He co-founded Prepare Edutech, an initiative focused on teaching paramedical basics in regional languages, which was recognized as a finalist in the Karnataka Startup Elevate 2023.
