Overview

This masterclass is designed to provide immersive operative exposure to advanced gastrointestinal laparoscopy within active high-volume surgical environments. Practitioners gain hands-on familiarity with OT setup, ergonomic positioning, laparoscopic access techniques, pneumoperitoneum establishment, abdominal anatomy assessment, and diagnostic laparoscopy under expert guidance. The curriculum incorporates structured exposure to energy devices, laparoscopic suturing, adhesiolysis, bowel handling, and tissue dissection techniques essential for safe minimally invasive GI surgery.

Training extends across core procedures including core and advanced laparoscopic GI procedures across elective and oncologic surgical workflows. Practitioners also gain exposure to emergency laparoscopic procedures, complication management strategies, conversion decision-making, and intraoperative troubleshooting through live surgical cases and workflow-based learning. Guided operative participation and real-case discussions help strengthen laparoscopic dexterity, operative planning, tissue handling, and evidence-based surgical decision-making across complex gastrointestinal surgical scenarios.

About the Program

An accelerated, hospital-based clinical immersion designed to build practical confidence in minimally invasive gastrointestinal surgery. The program combines real-case operative exposure, guided procedural learning, and expert mentorship across GI laparoscopic workflows, bowel surgery, tissue dissection, anastomosis techniques, and emergency surgical management. Through observation, assisted participation, and guided hands-on exposure, practitioners strengthen operative precision, intraoperative judgment, complication recognition, and multidisciplinary peri-operative care skills within active GI surgical environments.

Note: Clinical exposure, procedural participation, and case mix may vary across training locations based on patient availability, institutional protocols, faculty expertise, and operational considerations.
