Fellowship in 2D Echocardiography

The Fellowship in 2D Echocardiography by Medvarsity, accredited by the CPD Standards Office, UK, is a 6-month program designed to equip healthcare professionals with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in 2D Echocardiography. It includes a practical training at a leading hospital with live echo demonstrations. The course covers basics, scan protocols, and diagnostic knowledge of cardiac pathologies, enabling participants to perform and interpret echocardiograms independently. Optional simulation training is also available to further refine practical skills.

The Fellowship in 2D Echocardiography is open to both medical graduates (MBBS) and postgraduates (MS/MD/DNB) from all specialties. You should be registered with the National Medical Commission or the State Medical Councils.

In the Fellowship in 2D Echocardiography by Medvarsity, you will learn the fundamental principles and techniques of 2D echocardiography, including the ability to perform and interpret echocardiograms. The course covers essential topics such as hemodynamic monitoring, cardiac anatomy, and the identification of various cardiac pathologies like coronary artery disease, heart valve disease, and cardiomyopathy​. The goal is to build confidence and competence in performing and interpreting 2D Echocardiograms, enhancing the ability to diagnose and manage various cardiovascular conditions. This practical exposure is an integral part of the fellowship, designed to refine your skills.

Upon completing the Fellowship in 2D Echocardiography, you will receive a Fellowship Certificate from Medvarsity, along with accreditation from BAC. Additionally, you will earn a CPD certificate from the CPD Standards Office, UK, and a certificate from Medvarsity for your clinical observership experience.

Upon completion of the Fellowship in 2D Echocardiography, you will be accredited with  35 CPD (Continuing Professional Development) hours by the CPD Standards Office, United Kingdom.

To earn the fellowship certificate, you must complete all assessments,  and modules including the clinical observation and the final assessment.

The online component includes video lectures, reading materials, and interactive discussions that can be accessed at any time, allowing you to learn at your own pace within the time frame. Assessments are conducted throughout the course to ensure understanding and retention of the material. The National Medical Commission (NMC), which replaced the Medical Council of India (MCI), does not officially recognize courses offered through online or blended learning platforms.
