Biography
Professor Anita Heywood is a public health researcher and epidemiologist at UNSW Sydney with expertise in infectious diseases, vaccination programs, travel medicine, and communicable disease prevention. Her research focuses on vaccine uptake, public health preparedness, and strategies to improve immunisation and disease surveillance systems. She has contributed extensively to public health research, policy development, and healthcare education, with a strong emphasis on evidence-based approaches to infectious disease prevention and population health outcomes.
